The purpose of this course is to review an EMS call submitted to us by a listener. The call reviews a BLS fire crew responding to an adult male reported to be “sick”. The crew encountered a patient with an AMS and an interesting mix of signs and symptoms which ultimately resulted from poisoning. There is a review of Organophosphate poisoning, Acetlycholine action, and treatments.
